The City of Austin completed its City Manager hiring process earlier this month, and utilized PublicInput.com’s text messaging tools to facilitate public feedback on candidates.
In a series of community forums, Austin provided residents the opportunity to hear from finalists and share their questions, concerns, and feedback via a brief text message survey.

In addition to leveraging the SMS feedback at public events, the city used the PublicInput.com platform for focus group listening sessions with staff and key stakeholders.
The end result was increased participation across multiple channels, and the ability to analyze all the comments from a central dashboard.
